Of all Donald Trump’s kids, Barron Trump has always been the quietest. Since birth, he’s kept a low profile—even as he’s grown into a tall, striking presence beside his parents. He’s also faced the spotlight more than ever after things like his COVID diagnosis, which his mom, Melania, revealed publicly while they were in the White House.
From sweet baby stories to his surprising height today, here’s how Barron’s grown up and started making his own mark.
1. Melania’s Dream Baby
When Barron was born, Melania told Palm Beach Daily News that motherhood felt like “a miracle,” and she described baby Barron as “very happy” and calm. He barely cried, loved food, and was super curious about everything. Melania said he reminded her a lot of Donald: long fingers, long legs, and brown hair, but none of his dad’s ambitions.

2. School Was Fun
By age 3, Barron was already speaking bits of Slovenian, English, and French. He attended Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in Manhattan, where tuition was around $45,000 a year. When Donald Trump became president, the Trumps decided not to move Barron right away to D.C. because Melania didn’t want to uproot him mid-school year, and Barron definitely loved his New York Trump Tower setup.

3. He Made White House History
Eventually, Barron moved to the White House in June 2017, which was significant because Barron became the first presidential son to live there in over 50 years. Barron also became the first presidential child to attend St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Maryland, breaking tradition from previous first families who usually sent their kids to Sidwell Friends.

4. Sports! Sports! Sports!
One thing that’s become super clear about Barron is that he’s a sports guy. Soccer seems to be his favorite, and he’s been spotted wearing an Arsenal jersey and met D.C. United players in 2017. He’s even played on teams himself, joining D.C. United’s U-12 Development Academy as a midfielder in 2017–2018, and then Arlington Soccer Association’s U-13 team the next year.

5. A New School in Florida
By August 2021, it was clear the Trumps planned to stick around Florida when Barron enrolled at Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach. Founded in 2011, Oxbridge Academy has about 54 acres and focuses on shaping students into “learners, thinkers, and problem solvers.” The private school’s director said they were excited to welcome him and the Secret Service agents on campus.

6. Spending More Time With His Dad
Since leaving Washington, Barron seems to have grown closer to his dad. People reported that locals in Palm Beach spotted Donald and Barron golfing together. It was definitely a surprise for people who’d never seen the former president out on the course with his youngest son.

7. Barron’s Seriously Tall Now
Barron stunned the internet in July 2021 when photos surfaced of him towering over his mom during a New York City outing. At just 15, Barron had grown to an impressive height of 6-foot-7. Donald even joked at a North Carolina rally that Barron had surpassed Eric Trump, who’s “only” 6-foot-6.

8. The Mar-a-Lago Stuff
Barron didn’t have to spend all his time hanging out with his parents, though. He made a new friend in teen influencer Bo Loudon, whose family belongs to Donald’s club. Naturally, teenage antics followed. The Daily Mail reported that Loudon broke his arm in a pool mishap, and the two even crashed one of Donald’s golf carts. Just boys being boys, right?

9. Barron Steps Into the Political Spotlight
Despite trying to avoid the political stuff whenever possible, Barron played a significant role in his dad’s 2024 campaign. He suggested podcasts for Donald to join, introducing him to personalities like Adin Ross and Theo Von. During a speech in Qatar, Donald humorously recounted Barron pushing him to interview Theo Von, referring to him as someone unfamiliar. Barron made his rally debut in July 2024, receiving an enthusiastic response, and Donald joked that Barron is probably more popular than Don Jr. or Eric.

10. Gaming His Way Into College Friendships
Barron chose to enroll in NYU’s business school and started with other celebrity kids like Matt Damon’s daughter and Sean Combs’ daughter. His height made him stand out, leading to students snapping photos and videos, prompting him to move back to Trump Tower instead of living in a dorm. Making friends was always a challenge, with all of his dad’s goons surrounding him 24/7, so Barron turned to gaming. He asked classmates for Xbox gamer tags and played lots of FIFA with them.

11. Barron’s Love Life
Reports are still mixed about his dating life because of Barron’s low-key life. But some people did describe him as “a ladies’ man,” saying he was popular with girls. However, Radar presented an alternative narrative, claiming that most girls avoided him due to his last name, a claim that is also quite plausible. According to NewsNation, though, Barron isn’t playing the field at all and has a steady girlfriend. Good for him!
